On August 16, the Southeast Asia Impact Alliance held the “Development Strategies in the Context of Cybersecurity in Vietnam” forum at the InnoSquare Innovation Center in New Taipei. The event brought together elites from the industry, government, and academia. Special guests included Ms. Nicole Chan, the 5th Chairperson of the National Communications Commission; Mr. Wang Zhi-Zhi, a representative from FPT Software; as well as two cybersecurity experts: Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Cyber Defense Practice Lead at FPT Software in Vietnam, and Mr. Ian Huang, CFO of Gogolook in Taiwan.

The speakers shared the latest trends, challenges, and business opportunities in the Vietnamese cybersecurity market, emphasizing the importance of cultural differences and regulatory environments for business expansion. Mr. Tran Trung Hieu pointed out, “Understanding Vietnam’s business ecosystem is key to successfully entering the market.” Taiwanese cybersecurity company representatives at the event also expressed that the Vietnamese market is full of potential. They are interested in expanding their services to Southeast Asia and collaborating with local companies like FPT Software to explore this blue ocean together.
