|2024 Southeast Asia‘s Rapid Growth – Taiwanese Businesses’ End-of-year Banquet|
At the banquet, Southeast-Asia Impact Alliance founder and CEO, Mr. CY Huang, delivered a summary speech on the Alliance’s activities in 2023. He stated that over the past year, the Alliance achieved many significant milestones, with the most notable being the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VinaCapital and the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) on October 28 in Hanoi, Vietnam. This event was witnessed by key government officials, including the Prime Minister of Vietnam, the Minister of Planning and Investment, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Labor. The MoU aims to actively promote cross-regional semiconductor exchange and collaboration. Additionally, the Alliance successfully organized over ten other events, including connecting Taiwanese medical institutions with Vietnamese medical enterprises and activities targeting the markets in Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia.
At the banquet, Mr. Sunh Arunrugstichai, Deputy Director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand, highly praised the efforts of the Southeast-Asia Impact Alliance in promoting investment in Southeast Asia.
Former Ambassador to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, Mr. Huang Chih-peng, also delivered a speech. He expressed his hopes for the Alliance to play an even more significant role in promoting cooperation between Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries.
In addition, many other distinguished guests delivered speeches at the event, including Mr. Levi Nguyen, General Manager of FPT Taiwan, who discussed the trends in Vietnam’s technology sector and opportunities for Taiwan-Vietnam cooperation following President Biden’s visit. Another speech was delivered by Ms. Neeya Rujiwong, Head of the Economic Section at the Thai Trade and Economic Office, who provided an analysis of the key policies of Thailand’s new government for 2024.
