On the morning of August 27, 2024, Southeast-Asia Impact Alliance (SIA) assisted Long An Province delegation visits Hsinchu City Government to discuss the city’s policies on semiconductor industry development. During this visit, the Long An Province delegation also had a meeting with the Acting Mayor of Hsinchu, Chiu Chen-Yuan.

The Acting Mayor of Hsinchu, along with representatives from the International Affairs Division and the Industrial Development Office, warmly welcomed the visiting Vietnamese officials, sharing valuable experiences from Hsinchu City’s semiconductor industry development. This meeting provided the delegation with an in-depth understanding of how Hsinchu leveraged its strengths to become a semiconductor hub, offering valuable strategic guidance for Long An Province’s future development in the semiconductor industry. Through this visit, the Vietnamese officials and business leaders expressed their admiration towards Hsinchu City Government’s experience in this field.

During the exchange, both sides discussed the development history and future trends of the semiconductor industry, which deepened Long An Province’s understanding of Hsinchu’s industrial model. This interaction further strengthened the emotional ties between Hsinchu and Long An Province, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in technology, economics, and culture.

The meeting, facilitated by SIA, provided a valuable platform for discussing and agreeing on future cooperation among the three parties. The meeting between the representatives from Long An Province and the Acting Mayor underscored the deep-rooted friendship between the two regions and paved the way for numerous potential collaborations.
