On the afternoon of September 12th, the Management Board of the Economic Zone held a meeting with a delegation of Taiwanese businesses conducting surveys and working in the city of Hai Phong. Mr.Le Trung Kien, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Head of the Economic Zone Management Board, presided over the meeting. Also in attendance were leaders from various city departments and enterprises investing in industrial park infrastructure in Hai Phong.

The delegation from Taiwanese businesses, organized by Southeast-Asia Alliance, was led by Mr. C.Y. Huang, the founder of the alliance, along with leaders of businesses and investors operating in electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, automotive component production, screens, rubber products, and glass products.

Previously, with the connection and support of the Economic Zone Management Board, Southeast-Asia Alliance worked with VinFast, an automobile manufacturing company under the Vingroup conglomerate, to expand opportunities for collaboration in producing auxiliary components for electric vehicles.

Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, Mr.Le Trung Kien, affirmed that the city is creating the most favorable conditions for investors.

During the meeting, Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and the enterprises investing in industrial park infrastructure introduced the investment and business environment, city policies, and readiness to welcome the investment capital flows of businesses. The delegation of Taiwanese businesses expressed sincere appreciation for the attention of the Economic Zone Management Board and conveyed their impressions of the city’s development, as well as its potential, advantages, and investment-attracting policies. Above all, they acknowledged the city leadership and the Economic Zone Management Board’s companionship, care, and support for Taiwanese investors.

Immediately after the working session, Taiwanese businesses and investors will continue to intensify research, exploration, and more detailed discussions with the Economic Zone Management Board and infrastructure business enterprises to develop plans and implement investments in industrial zones and economic zones in the city of Hai Phong.
