On September 12, 2024, Southeast-Asia Impact Alliance (SIA) successfully organized a visit by the Global Monte Jade Science and Technology Association delegation in an important meeting with Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hanoi.

The meeting centered on discussing the potential development of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry. With Vietnam positioning itself as a promising player in the global semiconductor supply chain, this dialogue highlighted the opportunities and challenges in fostering innovation, infrastructure, and talent cultivation within the sector. Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC)  mentioned the semiconductor industry holds immense potential for Vietnam, given its growing economy, strategic location, and increasing investments in high-tech industries. Collaboration with experienced players like Taiwan can accelerate Vietnam’s progress in establishing itself as a key regional hub for the semiconductor industry.

For SIA, this meeting represents a crucial step in laying the foundation for future enhancements in Vietnam’s semiconductor sector. As an organization committed to fostering impactful collaborations between Southeast Asia and global partners, SIA views this engagement as a springboard for long-term partnerships that will drive sustainable growth and innovation in Vietnam’s tech ecosystem together with Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC).
